Celebrating 15 Years In The Print Business

Biznis Cards From humble small-office beginnings in 2001, specialist business card printer Biznis Cards has chalked up 15 years in the print business this year, and to mark the occasion they’ve re-branded with a sharp new image.

The recipient of several business awards over the years (including two DTI Smart Awards), their innovative online print system supports 50 languages and means they are the obvious choice for many international firms in the UK: companies which require dual-language business cards in Japanese, Chinese or Arabic, for example.

In addition, the company’s expansion into overseas markets means they now have clients in the UK, the US, Europe, Australia and even in China.

Whilst the company also prints letterheads and compliment slips, as their name suggests, it is business cards which are their main focus.

“In the early 2000s we were printing letterheads like they were going out of fashion,” says Sales Director, Marc Jardine. “And eventually they did… email has largely taken over from letters in recent years. But business cards are still much in demand, and these days we’re seeing a lot more foreign-language cards due to the expansion of overseas business opportunities, particularly in China and the Middle East.”

With a new image and an expanding client list, the future looks bright.

Here’s to the next 15 years!

Business Cards — An Essential Networking Tool in China

Chinese business card translationBusiness cards are an essential tool for anyone doing business in China and to be caught without them is a serious breach of business etiquette and a major social blunder.

Presenting your Chinese clients with business cards in their native language demonstrates that you are taking your business in China seriously: not only is it important as a sign of respect, but it is also a way of ensuring that your name, job title and other crucial information are communicated accurately, and that the image of your company is promoted positively, professionally and impressively.

In SE Asian business cultures, a business card signifies group identity and your position within that group. A Chinese business card will do more than just identify you as an individual: it will clarify your status and help you to make that all-important first impression.

And that impression lasts: in China, business cards are often filed away for future reference, not discarded as they so often are in the West.

So, long after your Chinese sales trip, your business cards and any other printed material you take with you will continue to represent you and your company to your new Chinese business clients.
